Blaisdell Manor

Nestled in South Minneapolis, this unique mansion is the ideal setting for your next event. The Georgian-style architecture and warm interior welcomes your guests to an event in style and elegance. Blaisdell Manor is a beautiful event space that is warm, inviting, and full of old world charm. For over 80 years, brides have been sashaying down the grand staircase into the foyer to greet onlooking families and friends. The house was built in 1915 by railroad tycoons and maintains today the original Georgian-inspired architecture.

The landscaped garden and courtyard make a delightful first impression to welcome guests to the urban mansion in style. The private courtyard – caressed by a row of pines – is a favorite for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on warm and sunny afternoons.

Inside, Blaisdell Manor boasts a 2-story Grand Ballroom, complete with a ceiling fresco and tiered lighting to set the mood for any event. We are the only mansion in the Twin Cities with an attached ballroom that accommodates more than 300 guests.

The Windus and Bovey Rooms – named for the some of its most notable residents – are furnished with wood-burning fireplaces, ample lighting and bay windows, which offer plenty of mingling space and cozy areas for conversation. Both rooms are wonderful options for smaller ceremonies and intimate receptions.

In addition, brides and their attendants love the convenience and warmth of the large Bridal Suite. Blaisdell Manor can be rented as a whole or by the room, accommodating a variety of budgets and event designs.
