Special Event Catering

What does By-Design mean?
It means that our Event Coordinators and Executive Chef will work with you to determine the perfect menu to serve at your event. We take into consideration your favorite foods, style of presentation, culture, and the all-important budget. From there we provide you with menu proposals and work with you to design the ideal menu and style of presentation for your event.

I have special requests for food specific to my country or culture, can you make it?
Absolutely! We have the pleasure of being chef-owned and our Executive Chef is extremely talented. He is classically trained in French preparation of foods and delights in fusion creations. We are located in the heart of Minneapolis’ Eat Street district, where cultures collide and an understanding of food and palettes is essential. Our Executive Chef has also had the pleasure of working with many families over the years to prepare traditional family recipes which can be passed onto you.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Vegan. Gluten-free. Kosher Style. We have done it all and with creativity and culinary delight. Ask and you shall receive.

Does your venue allow outside food?
No. Due to business licensing and insurance requirements, we are responsible for all food prepared at our venue and do not allow in outside food in the interest of safety and liability.

Do you have a food and beverage minimum for catering at off-site facilities?
We currently only have minimums for off-site events scheduled on certain holidays. While we would love to have no minimums, it is important to us to provide our staff with time to spend with family on holidays. Ask your Events Consultant or Event Coordinator for details concerning any specific holidays.

Do you offer wedding cakes and other desserts?
Yes! In addition to our Executive Chef, who has been providing unique dessert ideas for years, we are now home base to a talented new Pastry Chef. Chef Erin Keegan will work with you and your Event Coordinator to design a dessert perfect for your event.

Corporate Catering

What is the minimum order for corporate catering?
There is a minimum of 6 people for box lunch orders and 10 people for buffet options.

Can we make special requests or deviate from your corporate menu posted online?
Always! We are a by-design catering company but we provide the corporate menu online for your convenience. We are always happy to discuss other options with you. Call us at (612) 874-0880 to learn more.

Do you offer free delivery?
Free delivery is available if ordering within the Interstate 94 Loop (south of I-694 and north of I-494). Delivery is also available outside the “94 Loop” for minimal fees.

Will you provide the plates, flatware, and napkins with our buffet?
When ordering a buffet option through our corporate menu, quality disposable service ware (plates, napkins, and utensils) are all included in the menu price. Even better, our buffet service always comes to you in real chafing dishes – delivered and set up by our own kitchen staff on crisp linens – and not those ugly, disposable aluminum containers. We even return after your meal to pick up the equipment at no charge or inconvenience to you. To upgrade your service ware to china and flatware, call us at (612) 874-0880 to place your order.

How do I place an order?
Pick the option which best suits you:
1) Call us at (612) 874-0880 and place your order over the phone; or
2) Fill out the fax order form and fax in your order; or
3) Email us at catering@threesonssignature.com to place your order.

Where do I park when I attend an event at your venue?
Good question. It depends on the details arranged for the specific event.

At Blaisdell Manor, parking is available at the lot located at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Blaisdell Avenue, just two blocks north of Blaisdell Manor. There is also on-street parking. For an added touch, we can arrange for valet parking during your event.

Can I have just my wedding ceremony at your venue?
Sorry, but we cannot allocate a venue for a ceremony only. Food and beverages are always required to be served at our venues. We do, however, have recommendations for ceremony locations so give us a call to discuss some options.

Are you WiFi ready?
Each of our facilities has Ethernet access to the internet. Please provide notice to your Event Coordinator that you will need this service so the Ethernet is available. Blaisdell Manor is over 100 years old which creates some issues when dealing with wireless equipment. We do not recommend wireless networks at Blaisdell Manor due to the cement walls and distance from the wireless router.
Please note: there are several venues where we cater that have excellent wireless capability. Discuss these options with your Events Consultant.

Are there hotels near your venue?
You bet! For hotels near Blaisdell Manor, click here. For hotels near any other venue, please ask your Event Coordinator for details.

How many events do you hold in a day at your locations?
We do not double book a location with events on the same days at the same time. Your event is as important to us as it is to you. Under most circumstances, your event is the only event at our venue for the entire day. Exceptions may apply so ask your Event Coordinator for more details.

Event Planning

What color are your house linens?
We are pleased to offer house linens in white, black, ivory, and burgundy. Discuss the details—including available sizes—with your Event Coordinator so that there are plenty of the appropriate linens available for your event. While we always keep a supply of linens on hand, there is no guarantee that extras will be available for your event unless you have discussed the details with your Event Coordinator.

Do you have insurance?
Yes. We carry sufficient liability insurance on our catering services, our liquor services, and our property to cover our liability and most situations.
If you are planning event with an unusually high budget or other unusual circumstances, we may recommend that you purchase your own event insurance to cover your costs for any unforeseen cancellation expenses or other liabilities.

Who should I contact for a tour and/or to answer questions?
If you have already booked your event with us, contact your Event Coordinator with any questions.
If you have not booked your event with us, contact one of our Events Consultants to schedule a tour and to answer any questions you have.

Chef Ben McCallum
How can I learn more about the classes taught by Chef Ben?
We try to keep up with Chef Ben by posting his classes on our website under both his Profile and on the Latest News and Events page. Chef Ben has been a regular instructor of culinary classes at Kitchen Window and the now defunct Let’s Cook for the past seven years. We encourage you to attend one of these classes and take some of his cooking tips home to your kitchens.

Does Chef Ben make personal appearances?
Absolutely! We keep Chef Ben very busy so be sure to discuss his schedule with your Event Coordinator as he may be supervising 4-5 events at the same time. We also believe in the importance of community involvement, so if you would like to request Chef Ben to appear at one of your events, call us at (612) 874-0880 to discuss.

Can we hire Chef Ben to provide personal chef services?
Chef Ben is available for personal chef services whether you need his talents for feeding your family or a dinner party. Click here for some information about these services. He is highly recommended by his own family. (Insert smile.)
